Peter Bush is an award-winning translator who lives in Barcelona. His translations from the Catalan include Josep Pla’s Life Embitters (Archipelago) and The Gray Notebook (NYRB Classics), Emili Teixidor’s Black Bread (Biblioasis), Teresa Solana's A Shortcut to Paradise (Bitter Lemon Press),  Prudenci Bertrana’s Josafat (Francis Boutle Books) and Joan Sales’ Uncertain Glory and Winds of the Night (NYRB Classics), among other titles. Open Letter recently published his translation of Quim Monzó's Why Why Why.
